Test results taken by both Glan Agua and the Kiltiernan Group water scheme are coming back and the results to date are very positive. We are still waiting on further test results and a scouring regiment to flush the line will be conducted over the next week.
During this period we would continue to advise vulnerable users such as the elderly, very young, or those with a weak immune system to take the precautionary measures of boiling and allowing to cool, tap water before drinking.
The board of management of the Kiltiernan Group Water Scheme are working very closely with Glan Agua and we will continue to keep you updated on the water quality. A reduction in water pressure may be experienced in some areas when the line is been scoured but we will endeavor to keep the disruption to a minimum.
