Kiltiernan Group Water Scheme

Following the recent downpour of rain, the turbidity (relative clarity of a liquid) in the raw water extracted has increased. This increase in turbidity results in an increase in the amount of chlorine used and some members may experience a chlorine smell and/or a taste from the water. The chlorine levels in the water are still within allowed limits.

Glan Agua has confirmed the water quality leaving the treatment plant and our own chlorine residual tests are good. This monitoring is continuing throughout the scheme and additional water samples from the distribution network are been sent for testing.

We are available to discuss any concerns you may have .
